TRUE LOCK Distal Femur Medial Anatomic Plate Indications: TRUE LOCK Proximal Femur Plate, is indicated for the fixation of the following: Femoral fractures including trochanteric fractures and proximal femur fractures with ipsilateral shaft involvement; metastatic fractures; osteotomies; fixation of osteopenic bone, nonunion, malunion and periprosthetic fractures.

Clinical Background: Trochanteric fractures are especially common in osteoporotic elderly patients, while subtrochanteric fractures occur in both younger patients (typically due to high-energy trauma) and older patients (usually due to low-energy trauma).
